We need to adopt a warrior’s stance against the dark.
You may dislike the use of the word warrior. There are many who insist that spirituality, love, and compassion are incompatible with a warrior’s mind-set; that physical confrontation and are antithetical to the heart. In fact, the warrior and the priest must walk side by side, as one ensures the survival and health of the other.
The acts of a warrior are many and varied. Yes, warriors sometimes do bloody battle with the machines of war. On the other hand, warriors are also parents who commit eighteen to twenty years of their lives to nurturing their children to independent, free-thinking adulthood. Warriors volunteer time to community service programs and the learn the art of self-defense and emergency preparedness. Warriors continually seek opportunities to grow and learn. Warriors modify their lifestyles to promote and support the use of sustainable resources on this planet.
