Learning to Communicate

Where do we go to learn how to communicate better?  Our wisest choice is to go into Nature as an empty cup and let the worlds of the Earth show us a thing or two.

Plants, animals, minerals, and the world of spirit are our most powerful and authentic teachers.  They lead us into deep silences, where they introduce us to and teach us about our true nature – our authentic natural self.  Those of us who accept Nature as our mentor continue to discover unlimited inner treasures.  Get out in Nature, and do your own connecting.  Feel what it’s like; experience it for yourself.  The tragedy of our generation is that so often we settle for information alone.  True knowledge and wisdom come from direct personal experience.  The Internet, as magnificent as it is, is contributing to the massive collection of data and information, and helping us to create the illusion that information and data are knowledge.  This does not develop wisdom, and it cannot replace direct personal experience.

Hokkshideh’s Sacred Dream

In the North is the place of wisdom and knowledge. This is the determination of this wheel. It is the Hokkshideh’s Sacred Dream. This dream asks, “What are you going to give back to self, life, and others?” This is why you have chosen to take form. It’s what you have to “give away” with beauty and love in order to bring healing and knowledge to all forms of all things. It is your determination as a sacred human on this planet.

Inspiration – Warrior’s Act of Power

“All power is hidden behind the veil of innocence and illusion. Succumb to illusion and you will become ill with self-importance. Accept innocence and step into the Child Spirit Shield, into the center of your own essence. Keep your attention there and do not be distracted, for this is the moment of power. In your left hand, hold experience and the maturity to be able to integrate that experience. In your right hand, hold immediacy and action. Taking responsibility holds the hands together. Wisdom = Power = Attention

This formula tells you that all wisdom and memory which gives you power is nothing but attention. Where you place your attention, what you focus on is the key. If you can focus and keep your attention on the attraction, you gain a true reflection of your image. By receiving a reflection, rather than a distortion, you gain energy, even when you are confronting a tyrant. This is true in both the tonal (substance) and nagual (spirit) reality.

Distorted energy occurs when you put your attention on distractions. Distractions are like little vacuum cleaner hoses hooked up to you, sucking out your orende or energy. For example, you are sitting at your desk doing your work and all of a sudden you think about picking the clothes up from the cleaners on the way home, the fight you had with your spouse yesterday, and a meeting you must prepare for in two days. Each one of these thoughts are like a suction hose. They are distractions that take you away from what you are focusing on in the now and suck your orende or power.

The key to dancing awake the daydream is to give one thing or task your full attention and focus in the moment. When you stop being distracted and focus your energy, you will achieve alignment with the present moment and actually stop the aging process. Your attention will always go to the strongest energy within your space. Distractions will take you away from Power. Most of the time, the average human’s psyche is consumed by the past. Trying to get into and stay within the present, the NOW, is another way to speak about maturity.

Magician’s Formula of Power

The acquisition of power is probably the most misunderstood energy on the planet today. Many try to chase after it, buy it and some think they can steal or seduce it. However, those who are wise know that there is only one way to have power and that is to make a space inside for power to reside. Power rests inside you—in your marriage basket around the navel.

Let’s begin with the Magician’s Formula of Power.

ATTENTION = POWER

ATTENTION + ATTRACTION + IMPACT + EMPOWERMENT + DOMINION =

WISDOM = POWER = ATTENTION

Attention, according to Webster, is the act or state of applying the mind to an object. Let’s call this focus. Attention + Attraction means we must focus our attention on our attraction. When we focus our attention on our attraction, whatever we are focused on has a connection to us, and therefore an equal giveaway of energy or value is involved. Attraction is a pure electromagnetic energy.

If you focus your attention on attraction, attraction will catch or know intent. All you must do is focus on the attraction. If you do this, impact will be created. Impact is essential to power. You can experience either positive or negative impact. Both are important.

Through impact, we gain empowerment. When empowerment is an act of mutual acceptance, that is co-empowerment. It produces a win-win result, and anchors you in power.

Through the power gained from empowerment and co-empowerment, you enter the circle of dominion. Dominion is the arena in which power plays. Here is where all power exists. Once you have co-empowerment, you put all your attention on your dominion. The Elders say that at this point you gain freedom.  If I am empowering you, you are going to empower back because it is an automatic return. Therefore, we enter dominion. At that moment we do not dominate, manipulate, or control each other.

7 Arrows – Body Knowing

Book-learning is all well and good, but until we know it in our body as a practice, it does not become knowledge and eventually wisdom.

We have been focused on the 7 Arrows for the last few weeks. Here’s a way you can bring your feeling and experiences of each of the arrows into substance and form.

Buy or find wood dowels, shish kebab skewars, sticks, or whatever material calls to you.  The arrows in the picture above are 1/4″ wood dowels cut into 12″ lengths with one end sanded down for the point of the arrow.  Paint and decorate one arrow as the embodiment of each dark, light, and rainbow arrow.  You can always paint more dark arrows if you actually want to break them each time you consciously pick up a light arrow.

As you do this, think, feel, sense the times you pick up the particular arrow you are working on in the moment.  You’ll be surprised at the colors and items you add as the representations of each energy.

The set of arrows here show the 7 Dark Arrows at the top, the 7 Light Arrows in the middle and the 7 Rainbow Arrows at the bottom.  It’s also interesting to lay all of the 1st arrows (dark, light, rainbow), 2nd arrows, 3rd arrows and so on next to one another.

7 Arrows – Rainbow Arrows

Life is a CHOICE.  Choosing the Light Arrows breaks the Dark Arrows.  Persist in this practice and one day you will discover that the Universe has placed the Rainbow Arrows in your quiver in the place of the Dark Arrows as a gift from the Universe.  A perfect balance of the female and male energies in the light brings to us the Rainbow Arrows of illumination and enlightenment; introspection and intuition; trust, innocence and perfection; balanced alignment with wisdom; open heart to heart communication; impeccability as one’s self-worth and the actualization of our Sacred Dream.

Warrior Wednesday – Pattern and Timing

In each direction of the Warrior Attributes wheel, there are two attributes.  The first attribute carries the feminine energy and the second carries the masculine energy.  In each pair, you must have the feminine aspect mastered before you can step into and embody the masculine aspect.

In the Northwest sit the Warrior’s Attributes of Pattern and Timing. Pattern is looking at the repetitions of energy and events. Timing is catching minimal chance: being in the right place at the right time. When you can discern the pattern of something, you know when to step in and catch the necessary timing. If you cannot discern pattern, you will not know when to act.

What are the patterns that you have encoded in your physical body because your perception was limited by the stories you believe to be true? Realize this is your script. Assume authority for what happens and has happened. Take responsibility for the agreements you have with others and your life process. Step into the power of each moment’s opportunity. If you do this, you will move into the light mirror. You will recognize, accept and change the pattern. You will have the wisdom to know the timing for change and the timing of evolution. This is a movement to a higher level of the script you wrote for yourself in spirit.

Science & Philosophy are the Mind…

SCIENCE AND PHILOSOPHY are the MIND of the Twenty Count. As humans continue to delve into the mystery of life and seek to understand who we are, were we came from, why we are here and where we are going, Science and Philosophy discovers more and more answers. These answers are rarely new. Ancient myths and legends since always have spoken of the meaning of life. As the mind seeks to unravel the mystery, Science and Philosophy put forth their points of view. The Twenty contains within it all that there is to know. It is up to us to discern its depth and wisdom.

Self-Exploration…

Each single wheel teaches us about an aspect of our world, much like a single ingredient in a recipe provides one flavor.  When we start overlaying wheels, the depth of these teachings are revealed in the interconnections we explore.  This exploration will move the teachings into body knowing.  Accessing our body knowing leads us to felt wisdom.

In the last month, we have learned about the Elements, Seasons and the Directions and their “Give-away”.  Take some time to explore these interconnections:

How is the south, the color of red, the season of spring, the element of water, and trust and innocence inter-related?

For the west: Explore the inter-connections of black, winter, the earth, and intuition and introspection.

For the north: white, autumn, air or wind, and wisdom and logic.

For the east: yellow, summer, fire, illumination and enlightenment.
