“Rebirth Gives Movement”

Growing in the womb, the baby moves, rebirth of spirit into substance.  When the baby is born and takes its first Breath, that again is rebirth giving movement, because, for the rest of its life, every time it breathes it is in the process or rebirthing and changing.

“Life Gives Rebirth”

This describes the process of a mother rearing a child.  She is life and the child is rebirth, one life producing another life.  Many of the woman’s cells die each month during her menstrual period.  If a woman didn’t have her monthly moon cycle, which is death giving life, she wouldn’t be able to give life.  The moment of conception is life giving rebirth.  And again, rebirth happens when spirit enters the womb.  Rebirth is that infinitesimally fine line between death and life, the transition of spirit into substance and substance back into spirit.

Winter Solstice (or Summer Solstice down under)

snowflake_1280

Soltices and equinoxes sit in the center of the season wheel, catalyzing the cycles of death, life, rebirth, change, and movement.  Grandmother Earth’s internal, introspective movement moves counterclockwise to produce the seasons of fertility and abundance of all forms of all things.  Take a moment to breathe the energy of this solstice deep into every cell of your being, allowing the death of the that which no longer serves you, so that there is room for the seeds of new life to sprout and flower.

Twenty Count Tuesday – Grandmother Earth

earth_1280
Across from Grandfather Sun, in the West, is his mate, the second Power, Grandmother Earth. She sings the Song of Introspection and Intuition and the Chants of the Mysteries of Death, Life, Rebirth and Movement. Hers is the Song of the Beauty of Change.

Did you know that Earth…

  • is the only planet not to be named after a Greek or Roman deity?
  • is the only known planet to support life?
  • has a powerful magnetic field due to its nickel-iron core?
  • is the densest planet in our solar system?
  • Tilts approximately 66 degrees?

Or that

  • 70% of Earth’s surface is covered by water? And only 1% of this water is fresh water found in lakes, rivers and underground?
  • the gravity between the Earth and the Moon cause the tides?
  • Earth’s rotation is gradually slowing, 17 milliseconds per 100 years? (Not to worry… At this rate, it will take 140 million years before our day will increase from 24 hours to 25.)

What does the Earth teach you about Introspection and Intuition?

What is YOUR body knowing of the Earth and how does this energy dance with YOU?

I invite you to share your experience and relationship to this second Power of the Universe.
