Medicine Wheel Gathering: Ontario Canada

It is time to celebrate and grow again!  ICSS’ popular Medicine Wheel Gathering returns for its second year:

ICSS Medicine Wheel Gathering

ICSS Medicine Wheel Gathering

Last year we celebrated the opening of the gates into the 5th world.  We did ceremony, shared teachings, enjoyed the warmth of our community (including swimming and ice cream) and reveled in the beautiful weather of August.

This year we have entered the 5th world and are living in unsettled times.  Our theme this year is “For the Love of Self” where you will discover your sacred container, the deep well of self-love and self-devotion.  We invite you to dance with us again as we leave the familiar of the 4th world behind and enter into this new adventure called the 5th world.

The Medicine Wheel Gathering runs August 22-25, in Ontario. For more information, visit the Medicine Wheel Gathering Dream of the New World page at ICSS.

Celebrating the DTMMS Worldwide Community

There are many ways to study the Sweet Medicine SunDance teachings.  Some people read one of our publications, other attend one of our many study groups, seminars and workshops (such as Red Lodge, spiritual sexuality, physical mastery and more).  For a smaller number, this body of teachings is home, our path with heart; these are the Sweet Medicine SunDance apprentices.

Sweet Medicine SunDance apprentices are a  diverse group!

  • We span 17 countries on 4 continents (North America, Europe, Australia, and South America).
  • Canadian apprentices can be found in more than 60 cities spanning 4 provinces.
  • And apprentices live in nearly 200 cities found in 24 states in the USA.

Across the globe, dedicated individuals bring these teachings into their lives, learning how to love, teach, share and care in greater beauty and balance.  Such bounty!

“Abundance” is theme for next DeerTracks (Coming in June)

DeerTracks is the DTMMS newsletter, dedicated to personal excellence, spiritual awakening, and alignment with nature.  The theme for this June issue is ABUNDANCE:  How do you create abundance in your life? How do you define “abundance” for yourself- what ingredients constitute abundance for you? Money? Health? Family? Creative work? Service? Nature?

Articles in DeerTracks bridge ancient wisdom and modern society, provide personal stories from people who study and teach the Sweet Medicine SunDance Path all over the world, and highlight the ways that individuals apply their genius, artistic originality, talents, and skills to make a difference in their profession and in their community. Each issue also provides information about events from across the globe, including Italy, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, England, Canada, the United States and more.

Submissions will be accepted through May 12.  Submission guidelines were recently sent to all apprentices on the DTMMS mailing list.

Articles from previous issues of DeerTracks can be found in the DTMMS reading room.
