Attitude, Choice, Energy

pony

There was a man who had two little boys. In one room, he placed one of the little boys with the finest erector set ever made. He placed the other little boy in a room which was full of horse dung and a shovel. A few hours later the father went back to see how the boys were doing. First, he looked in on the boy with the erector set. The boy had moved to the corner of the room, the erector set lying in front of him. He was sobbing and crying. His father asked him, “What’s the matter?” The little boy said in a whiny voice “I don’t know what to make. The pieces are too heavy. I can’t make anything. It’s too hard.” The father shook his head and decided to look in on the second boy. When he opened the door, much to his surprise, the second little boy was laughing, wildly using the shovel to dig the horse dung out of the pile. The father said, “Son, what are you doing?” His son replied with much enthusiasm, “With this much horse dung, there’s got to be a pony under here somewhere!”

This is a story that SwiftDeer told to illustrate that attitude is everything! Approach life with a proper attitude and life itself will bring you more health and happiness. As a result, we gain energy. An improper attitude can bring us dis-ease and sadness, through which we lose energy. The quality of our life is influenced greatly by our attitude.

Warrior Wednesday

narrative-794978_1280

In each direction of the Warrior Attributes wheel, there are two attributes.  The first attribute carries the feminine energy and the second carries the masculine energy.  In each pair, you must have the feminine aspect mastered before you can step into and embody the masculine aspect.

The last pair of Warrior’s Attributes sit in the Southeast of the Wheel.  Our Attitude and Approach toward self, life, and others creates a frame for all of our concepts of self. At each point on the wheel, it is your attitude and approach which determine your choice of action, response, and evolution. Are you part of the solution or the problem? Have you been writing too many tragedies? Do you choose the light mirror dance or are you trapped in the web of darkness? With the proper attitude, you will know how to approach life to write the kind of story you want, whether it be a comedy, romance, or heroic epic.
